Chester Arthur Stiles has been convicted of videtaping a sexual assault on a child.
Chester Arthur Stiles, 38, faces a maximum sentence of life in prison. He was convicted of lewdness with a child, sexual assault with a minor, attempted sexual assault with a minor and other related charges.
He showed no reaction as the verdict was read after more than four hours of jury deliberations, according to KLAS. Sentencing was set for May 8.
The crime triggered a national manhunt and search for the girl when the tape surfaced in 2007.
Jurors in Stiles' trial viewed the videotape, but the judge would not allow members sitting in the gallery to view it, and a screen was put up to block the jury box, said Michael Sommermeyer, spokesman for Clark County, Nevada, courts. Some members of the media were allowed to view the tape as well, but the judge did not want the reactions of reporters or the public to influence jurors, he said.
The charges also related to another girl who Stiles was accused of sexually assaulting on videotape.
The tape was given to authorities in September 2007 by a man who said he had found it in the desert five months before. On it, police found images of the small girl being sexually assaulted.
After attempting unsuccessfully to find out the girl's identity, authorities turned to the media for help and released a picture of the girl, and the case drew nationwide attention. She was found in October 2007. An attorney for her mother said she was 7 years old and safe and healthy.
The rape occurred before the girl's third birthday, while she was in the care of a baby-sitter her mother had hired, he said. The mother did not know the girl had been victimized. After the girl was found, authorities asked CNN and other news organizations to stop showing her picture.

Cricket captain Mahela Jayawardene reacts Wednesday after returning to Sri Lanka's capital, Colombo.
Authorities released photos of two suspects involved in the ambush on the visiting team's convoy Tuesday as players and match officials made their way to Lahore's cricket stadium, killing six police officers and a driver.
They also offered a 10 million rupee ($125,000) reward for information leading to arrests. Investigators cannot yet say who was behind the attack.
Sri Lanka's cricketers returned home to Colombo early Wednesday.
The worst injured were Tharanga Paranavitana and Thilan Samaraweera who suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and leg respectively. Neither man's injuries are believed to be life-threatening. Six other players were hurt by shrapnel and glass. Read profiles of the wounded players »
Sri Lankan vice-captain Kumar Sangakkara told CNN that Paranavitana and Samaraweera were due to undergo surgery later Wednesday. He said Samaraweera still had a bullet in his leg.
Describing the attack in an interview with CNN, Sri Lanka's coach Trevor Bayliss said he was thankful that none of his squad had been killed.
"The first indication was an explosion which someone said later was a rocket launcher that missed the bus and went over the top and hit somewhere in front of us," Bayliss said. Video Watch Bayliss describe the attack »
He said two cars then pulled up in front of the convoy, blocking its path. Gunmen jumped out of the cars and started firing, sending bullets ripping through the bus.
"By that stage everyone was one the ground... Surprisingly it was very calm. There was not a lot we could do except keep low as possible and hope for the best. Every now and then someone would just yell out and say 'I'm hit.'"

Guus Hiddink celebrated his fourth win as Chelsea coach by insisting that the desire for success is the motivation.
Chelsea are now just four points behind Sir Alex Ferguson's side at the top of the Barclays Premier League although United have two games in hand on the Blues.
A vital second-half strike by Didier Drogba earned Chelsea all three points on a rain-soaked Fratton Park pitch and Hiddink paid tribute to the 'never say die' attitude of his players.
"What is good in this team, is that they react when there are difficulties," said Hiddink.
"Many players react in a way I normally don't like but this team is not happy when things are not going well and they make an extra effort to get their rewards.
"I notice there is a desire to have success and we have some key players who are demanding a lot from themselves and also from the other ones, which is key for big players with a big status.
"They challenge each other and it is very open. It shows the team is not fed-up and has desire.
"In difficult circumstances we are satisfied with a win. It was a tough win. The first half was equal and we tried to push on in the second half because we have to win if we want to put pressure on the number one team in the league.
"It didn't happen until late in the game but we have to admit we are very happy. Petr Cech, at the end, when they played all or nothing, made one or two fine saves.
"It was very important to get three points because if we want to keep up the pressure, we have to win.
"United have games in hand and they have a buffer. They are an experienced team but that is why it is good that we keep on winning.
"It keeps the pressure on. It is good for everyone in this championship to keep the pressure on the number one team."
Drogba's season at Chelsea has been hampered by injury, suspension and a personality clash with former boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.
He was axed by the former coach after their 3-0 hammering at Old Trafford in January but Hiddink says he has seen nothing wrong with his attitude since taking charge.
Drogba ran to the bench to celebrate his goal and Hiddink added: "He is very happy with his goal. He knows he has not scored many goals this season.
"It gets rid of a bit of tension. When a player is playing in that position and not scoring, then it comes to such an emotional explosion.
"If you are a striker you like to score. They live to score and to assist."
Portsmouth's caretaker boss Paul Hart lost his first game in charge since taking control from the sacked Tony Adams to leave Pompey still fighting to avoid relegation.
But his disappointment was tempered with knowledge that he has been appointed as manager until the end of the season.
Hart declared: "It is definitely a disappointing result but I thought it was a tremendous performance.
"We had a strategy and the boys kept to it. We created chances on the back of that but against the top teams you have to stick them away.
"I think we could have won but two saves by Cech were outstanding. I thought we deserved at least a point.
"There are a lot of disappointed players in the dressing room but they know they put in a performance that merited a little bit more.
"It is how we respond to that now. We have a difficult period of the season to come. We can take heart from the way we played."
Hart admitted he was very pleased the board had given him the job until the end of the season as it means he and assistant Brian Kidd and focus even more on keeping them in the top flight.
"I am very pleased," said Hart.
"I think it is good for all concerned the club and the players, because there has been a decision made and we can plan a little bit further on now.
"Hopefully we can do what the job is about and that is to stay in this division. It has only been three games but in those games the players have shown magnificent determination and response.
"If we maintain that spirit we will be a very difficult to beat."

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has set his sights set on catching Aston Villa in the race for a Champions League spot.
The Gunners ended a four-game run without a league goal with an emphatic 3-1 win at bottom club West Brom at the Hawthorns on Tuesday, with Nicklas Bendtner netting twice to take his tally for the season to 11.
It enabled them to reduce the gap between themselves and fourth-placed Villa to three points, although Martin O'Neill's side could double that advantage if they win at Manchester City tonight.
Wenger said: "It's a strange situation. We created as many chances against West Brom as we have done in many games. We are on a long unbeaten run since the beginning of November.
"I still believe that in the few draws we had, if we'd taken those chances, we would still be in the title race.
"But now we want to focus on reducing the gap to Aston Villa and other teams and try to win our games."
The Arsenal fans chanted Wenger's name in contrast to the boos that rang out at the Emirates Stadium after the goalless draw with Fulham at the weekend.
He said: "That is very nice. Our away fans have always been great. But I really don't have a problem with the fans being disappointed.
"That's normal. I never complain about that. We are in a job where it is down to us to make people happy - not the other way around.
"We have always to keep the priorities right. When you do not manage that, I can understand that people aren't happy."

England striker Wayne Rooney has recovered from a virus and should start for Manchester United at Newcastle United.
The England striker missed Sunday's Carling Cup triumph over Tottenham, but has since managed to train, and should be part of a fresh United line-up, also containing Dimitar Berbatov, Edwin van der Sar, Michael Carrick, Park Ji-Sung and Darren Fletcher, none of whom were involved in the action at Wembley.
Sir Alex Ferguson's only injury doubt is defender John O'Shea, although the Republic of Ireland international is hopeful of shrugging off a heel injury.
Newcastle midfielder Nicky Butt is out of the clash with his former club.

Kevin Nolan will serve the second leg of a three-match ban, while Damien Duff (calf), Michael Owen (ankle ligaments), Habib Beye (ankle), Danny Guthrie (hamstring), Joey Barton and Xisco (both fractured metatarsal) are still out.
