Liverpool's Javier Mascherano has reportedly agreed to a £100,000-a-week deal with Spanish champions Barcelona.
The Reds had previously rejected advances from Barcelona with regards to the Argentina international.
But according to The Sunday Express, Liverpool are now willing to listen to offers of up to £36million from Barca.
And according to another report by the same newspaper, the defensive midfielder wants the transfer to happen in January but the Reds intend to keep hold of him till the end of the season.
Mascherano currently earns around £60,000-a-week on Merseyside, with his contract due to expire in 2012, and has rejected offers of a new £90,000-a-week deal.
Barca could sell unsettled midfielder Yaya Toure to Manchester City as a way to raise cash for this deal to happen.
